Frequently asked questions

My Aloe seems to have dried out. What can be wrong?
Two causes may account for this. The plant has dried out and you need to soak the entire pot in water for a few minutes. Or, your Aloe may not have any roots left because it was left standing in too much water a few times, which causes the roots to die. In the worst case, your plant is dead. However, it is possible that the plant may survive. Let the soil dry out and once it is dry you can start watering the plant again.

How much water can I give my Aloe?
You can do the most harm by giving too much water, so skipping the watering now and again is not a problem. During the winter, you must only give a little water because this is when the Aloe is resting. The best method is the following: check the soil in the pot and if this is dry, you can water the plant.

My Aloe is rotting. What am I doing wrong?
The Aloe has too much water and this means there is not enough air in the potting soil. The only solution is to reduce watering! Never give water if the soil is still moist. The best way to give water is to let the potting soil draw the water from under the pot.

Will my Aloe bloom?
Aloes bloom in early spring, from December to March.
